A DISCUSSION ABOUT PHYSICALITY OF THE SPACE
All scientists are aware about expanding universe . A common and useful analogy explains that space itself is expanding, carrying galaxies with it , like raisins in a rising loaf of bread .General relativistic cosmologies , however , do not actually ascribe any ‘physicality ‘ to space . Again, from Einstein’s Theory of relativity we know there occurs curvature of space , although he discarded the concept of ether as the intervening medium in the space , thus rejecting any physicality of the space . At least the Standard Model interprets Einstein to be against all types of ethers , and they use Michelson/Morley experiment to prove that . They think that Einstein was against any and all possible ethers , since his theory has been sold as a mathematical abstraction . But to my mind it seems inconceivable that a space having no physicality can have curvature or can expand . I am of the opinion that Einstein was only against the ether as a transmitter of light . He did not believe that light required a medium for transmission , and he did not believe that light moved relative to the medium . In fact in 1920 at his inaugural lecture in Leyden titled ‘The Ether and Relativity Theory’ Einstein said “ The ether concept has once more acquired a clear content . The ether in the general theory of relativity is a medium which itself is bereft of all mechanical and kinetic properties , but which has a share in determining mechanical and electrical occurrences Nikolas Tesla , who is the greatest inventor of all times , also believed that space cannot be devoid of ‘physicality’ and also critical of Einstein’s theory . He said in a dinner talk ( not in published papers) that I have worked out a dynamic theory of gravity in all details and hope to give this to the world very soon. It explains the causes of this force and the motions of heavenly bodies under its influence so satisfactorily that it will put an end to idle speculations and false conceptions, as that of curved space. According to the relativists, space has a tendency to curvature owing to an inherent property or resence of celestial bodies. "Granting a semblance of reality to this fantastic idea, it is still very self-contradictory. Every action is accompanied by an equivalent reaction and he effects of the latter are directly opposite to those of the former. Supposing that the bodies act upon the surrounding space causing curvature of the same, it appears to my simple mind that the curved spaces must react on the bodies and, producing the opposite effects, straighten out the curves. "Since action and reaction are coexistent, it follows that the supposed curvature of space is entirely impossible - However, even if it existed it would not explain the motions of the bodies as observed. Only the existence of a field of force can account for them and its assumption dispenses with space curvature. All literature on this subject is futile and destined to oblivion." Tesla’s greatest inventions are all based on the study of waves . He always considered Gravity , Sound Heat Light ,X rays and Radio waves could be studied using the same sort of maths . His differences with Einstein suggest that he had extended this thinking to gravity . It is a great pity that Tesla never published his dynamic theory to gravity .Modern thinking about Gravity suggests that when a heavy object moves it emits gravitational waves that radiate at the speed of light . These gravity waves behave in similar ways to many other types of waves . In the 1980’s Tesla was proved right . A study of energy loss in a double neutron star pulsar called PSR 1913 +16 proved that gravity waves exist . Tesla’s idea that Gravity is a field effect is taken more seriously than Einstein took it . Unfortunately Tesla never explained his theory of Gravitation which was considered outrageous by the scientific community of the time and only now do we have enough understanding of gravity to realize that he was right . Based on this discussion I shall now turn my attention to the knowledge we get from Srimad Bhagavatam about creation of the Universe . It says Universe consists of matter (includes fields) and consciousness . Consciousness is called a separate entity (not a function of matter) and it is consciousness which keeps matter in a synchronized form , otherwise matter tends to slide into complete chaos . According to this scripture whole matter and whole consciousness was transferred to the material nature from Spiritual world and thereafter the whole material energy remained as a quiet sea (without any waves) as store house of energy . This storehouse may be likened to Ether which remains in space in unmanifested form and acts as back ground of different fields . Gradually waves of different kinds were generated and I may say these waves represent the various fields like Electromagnetic , Gravity , Nuclear etc . Field quanta or packets of energy of such fields appear as blobs on such fields , which are subtle matter . Gradually gross matter or sub nuclear particles came into existence and they combined under guidance of super consciousness (God) to form different elements . Scriptures never say that space is void but it is the store house of energy . From our previous discussion we also come to the conclusion that there must be some thing like ether or so to account for curvature or expansion of space . in other words space must have physicality , whether manifest or not .
